Vintage quilted floral jackets, meticulously chosen by designer Line Sander Johansen, and updated with African wax print linings and repaired when necessary with new trims and buttons.
As each jacket is one of a kind, there will be slight variation from style to style.
Line Sander Johansen grew up in the Danish countryside with dreams of becoming an artist and archaeologist who makes clothes.
She emerged from graduate school in 2012 with lots of commercial interest in her work, but a disinclination to send her garments “out of the country for production far away, not having my hands on them anymore.” Instead, using an antique Singer sewing machine and a needle and thread, she began working with fashion remnants. “I have a deep appreciation and interest in the abandoned,” she says, describing her work.
